When I went to lunch Wed, I took a few pics of the graded snow piles. They rose from the mall parking lot like bare mountain tops. So, this is the last picture I took of 2008 - couldn't let it go out without at least one photo. LOL It was amazing that the piles were still so high after all the snow had melted and it had rained a bit.

Speaking of the snow - when the better half got home this morning, the car had a layer of snow on it! He said that it had snowed where he was all night. Here, the sun is trying to shine and there is no sign of new snow. Let the mainland keep their snow! I have a lunch date with the neighbor today - it looks like it could be a pretty day to be out and about.

This is the anti-glamorous snow shot!~~ Snow in residential areas only looks nice for the first day and then it takes on that horrible grey tone.

I think we had a few flurries today but nothing to be excited about. It was cold though!

I have to laugh when I look at this picture. I think one of the reasons these piles of graded snow don't melt is there is not really enough snow...it's mostly filler, which is what makes them look so ugly. The snow in residential areas only looks nice til the first set of footprints - then it goes downhill from there. LOL We have had some beautiful sunshine, but that cold is wicked - must be coming off ice.
