Another late night, another late morning. LOL They just seem to go hand-in-hand. The picture today is another shot of a Marsh bird in the Virginia Rail family, the Sora. Their spines are hinged to allow them to snake through the cattail stalks, more like a snake than a bird.

Really enjoyed getting together with the neighbor for lunch yesterday. It had been a couple of weeks. Wickett joined us, and did so well in his little purse - even when the food was served. We got caught up on what we had been doing during the big snow-in. She had pneumonia, so that was a no-brainer for her...alot of rest and antibiotics. And, just because she had asked if we were going to have some sunshine for our lunch date, we had a beautiful day. Stayed really cold though, but the sun was out.

Got up this morning to a dusting of snow on the ground. I guess the mainland didn't keep their snow after all and just had to share it. The better half said that there was no snow over that way this morning. Well, it is January...so spring has to get here soon.
