Let me introduce you to the newest member of the family - a little mutt we call Barney. He is 11 weeks old, weighs 2.8 lbs, and is a Papillon/Silky Terrier mix. He is housebroken and loves to be carried around or sit on your lap. He's not afraid of anything, and seems to have really taken up with the better half. He should weigh around 5-6 lbs as an adult and reminds me so much of my mother's little Chihuahua/Terrier mixes.

So, yesterday was spent getting to know the little terror, playing with him and trying to get a bit of a routine started. I have some catching up to do on all the blogs, but will get there in between puppy fixes. LOL

Other than that, not much has been going on. We got more snow yesterday, but it is gone today - so it was a good snow. It has been wet, windy and cold though, so not nice weather to just get out in to enjoy. LOL

Oh My God He is SOOOOO flipping CUTE!!!!! That face! How can you NOT cuddle that sweet thing! The temptation is too great!

LOL @ "good" snow! They forecast ice for us tomorrow - the only good ice is in alcohol!

What an adorable looking little dog!! He is pleading with those eyes! He is also so alert!

Thank you Lav. He is a cutie - we've had to leave him at home and go out to eat just to take a break. Otherwise, it is difficult to not be holding him or carrying him around. He has trained us well. haha

LOL Emjay - I agree on the ice! A good snow is one that comes down at night and is gone in the morning. hehehe Barney is a cutie - and so far, we've not been able to resist him.

Barney thanks you for the welcome gf. He is having a blast being boss. So far I've managed to keep his nose out of the bird cages.

Aww Gina, I am so glad you got a puppy. There is nothing like the unconditional love from a dog. I'll bet he'll be bossing the birds around in no time, and the birds will be barking!

It is amazing that I have missed out on a dog all this time. I've always had cats and a couple of little dogs that made an impression. Can't have cats with the birds, and it will take some very close supervision for Barney to keep his nose, but he and the birds are in the accepting each other stage. A couple of the birds are already whining.
