The better half took Barney in to work with him last night. He said that it will be quite a while before he does again. LOL He said he now knows why the woman who had him called him 'Damien'...once out of the carrier, Barney turned into a devil dog - running all over, through all the rooms he could get in, just being a puppy. Barney apparently ran all night with a 20 minute break here and there. Do I believe sweet little Barney could be a devil dog? No way! He is now quietly curled in his bed in his playpen sleeping.

Yesterday was a much easier day on me. Barney was his usual loveable self - wanting to be held for a while, then sleep in his playpen for a while. I was even able to lay down for a couple of hours and read and nap. The better half taking Barney for the night let me get a good uninterrupted night's sleep, so I feel up to the task of puppy today.

At home, because he is so small and the birds are so big, he doesn't get the run of the house. I think he was just overwhelmed with all the rooms he could run through - not to mention there was carpeting and we have wood floors. LOL The devil certainly showed his face.

lol! Sounds like. Puppies can be crazy! Like Bruce was when he stayed with us.
But he was afraid of the wind!

Oh my gosh gf, he sounds like fun. I've not had uninterrupted sleep in a few weeks now, when she cries I have to take her out. Last night she spent most of the night playing and licking me (when she was supposed to be sleeping) I didn't have the heart to put her in the crate. Puppyhood is only temporary.

I know how that goes. I also hate to take Barney out, him be such a little man about doing his business, then bringing him in and back in his pen he goes. Just seems like punishment, so I have to play with him a bit, hold him a bit, then put him down and go back to bed.

LOL Bruce may have good reason to be afraid of the wind. The neighbor's little Wickett was out doing his business when the wind blew him over. LOL

LOL - the devil comes out away from home! We used to call my daughter "street angel, home devil" because that totally described her behaviour! People meeting her out in public would never believe what she was like at home LOL. Like children, puppies do grow up.

Aren't kids funny that way? I would try to tell people something the kids could say or things they did, and nobody would believe me - those halos just a-shining in public blinded other's eyes to those horns!

I had a cat once who hated the snow. The first time she jumped from the porch into it, she tried to pick up all 4 feet at the same time. My pom did too - but once she got used to it, she loved the snow and rain. At least Barney sidesteps the puddles.

lol really. My brothers Golden loved the snow, and maggie our next door neighbors you prob saw on one of my vids.
Going to get really cold next week, high of only 8F!

You guys are going to get cold! We're just supposed to stay wet I believe, but the temps will be above freezing.

The neighbor's little dog loved the snow - he would make snowballs with his nose, then jump on them. I don't know how Barney will like snow.

Oh - I can wait a lifetime to see how Barney likes the snow. LOL If I have my way, he'll never see it.

We are getting the lake effect snow, though into next week and a bigger system this sat. Lots a snow outside!

When we lived on Lake Huron we would get the lake effect snows. They never closed the school, and there were many days where we had to tunnel through the snow to the bus stop, while my dad had to dig down to get to the car door. Those drifts could get wicked!

man more up north of here gets pounded with it! we will have sunshine while along the East end of lake Ontario gets tons of snow.

It was a trip. Out of all the places I've lived, Michigan is one state I don't care to visit again. It was beautiful and I loved living on Lake Huron, but for some reason, there's just nothing there that draws my interest.
