A little yellow for the sunshine we won't have today.

Okay - so the devil dog has appeared. He is quickly learning that I am NOT a chew toy. Those little puppy teeth are sharp and for the first time since we got him, he is learning the word "No". I found out that the best way to stop him from trying to chew on me is to play a little tug of war with him, then some fetch. After that, Barney is tired enough to just want to sleep.

If it weren't for the pup, I definitely would not have anything to say. It has been raining and somewhat difficult to go anywhere because of roads closed due to flooding. We won't even mention that the times that Barney does sleep, I am catching up on some badly needed rest myself!

Having Barney must be like having a baby. When I had my first one (baby) whenever he slept I would run around tidying up etc; when I had my second one the minute he closed his eyes so did I! (much more sensible). I'm sure you have lots to say ... memories you could share etc.

LOL In some ways, a puppy is worse than a baby - in other ways, it's much easier. Like you, the first baby I did the work while the baby slept. The second one, I did the work with the kid on my hip and when they napped, so did I. With a baby though, it was whip those diapers off, put a dry clean one on and stick a bottle in its mouth. With the pup, it's stand out in the wind and rain while he plays with grass, sticks and whatever, then decides to do his business. The nice thing about puppies though is they take a lot less time than kids to mature.
